"The Truth" won out last week at the 5th annual Massachusetts Interactive Media Council Awards, where the American Legacy Foundation's Web site, thetruth.com, was awarded best of show.
The site, created by the Boston office of Circle.com, was also recognized in the categories of best design and best work for a nonprofit institution.
Twenty-two total awards were given out at the ceremony, held Tuesday at the Boston Copley Place Marriott. The prizes recognize the best ideas and executions for the New England interactive media industry. Several hundred industry professionals and guests attended.
Circle.com's online buying campaign for Volkswagen of America's Limited Edition Vapor took home best concept, and SimPlayer Sports was recognized with an award for best use of technology for "SimPlayer GameView—Baseball."
Other category winners included Gravy Design's Web site, created by IdentityOne, in the self-promotion category; Digitas for the Johnson & Johnson "Clean & Clear Talking Postcard Superstitial" in the online advertising category; and Digitas for the L.L. Bean Web site. IdentityOne's Web site for the Stacy Cheriff Agency also earned kudos in the business-to-business marketing category and the Altoids Web site, created by Red Sky for Callard & Bowser Suchard, won for business-to-consumer marketing.
