“She had glamour. She had style. She had one eye.”

Those words open a narrative chronicling the rise and fall of animated spokesgal “Marsha,” done as parody of the E! True Hollywood Story program. Voiced by Tracey Ullman, the cartoon character with a shock of hair covering one eye was recently retired after five years of appearances in Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos’ ads for off-price retailer Marshalls.

The mockumentary was produced by the Boston agency to celebrate its 10th anniversary with Marshalls and was screened during a recent reception at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts.

The seven-minute film features interviews with Hill, Holliday staff members, including vice chairman/creative director Dick Pantano, who discusses the reasons for Marsha’s popularity.
