Quick-Step, a supplier of laminated flooring, has named Trone Advertising its lead agency.

The Greensboro, N.C.-based agency defeated an undisclosed number of area shops in a month-long review to win the estimated $5-10 million advertising account.

“Historically, we’ve handled many home-related accounts,” said Mike Fox, Trone’s director of client services. “With the economy down, clients demand an ability to deliver results. Our prior experience with Thomasville Furniture, Oakwood Homes and Sealy showed we know how to deliver.”

Quick-Step, a wood-based flooring product developed by Unilin Decor of Belgium, had been relying on its European marketing efforts to drive the brand since its U.S.
