ATLANTA The creative torch has been passed at Tribe, with Jim Newbury arriving as senior vice president and creative director. He succeeds agency founder and CEO, Elizabeth Cogswell Baskin, in the role.

Newbury, 51, previously was creative director at ComGroup/MRA in Atlanta for seven years. He also has been an art director and assistant creative director at shops such as McCann Erickson, Fitzgerald + Co., WestWayne and GSD&M.

Baskin, who opened the independent Atlanta shop in 2002, remains Tribe’s CEO.
