DALLAS TracyLocke has named Todd Copilevitz to the newly created position of director of digital initiatives, the agency said.
Copilevitz' responsibilities at the Dallas-based shop will include integrating digital marketing strategies into the agency's advertising programs.
"More and more consumers are weaving the Internet, mobile phones and handheld computers into their daily lives, making the digital world an effective way for marketers to reach consumers," said Ed Winter, CEO of TracyLocke. "Todd will lead our efforts to develop innovative ways to help clients reach consumers through the digital world."
Copilevitz arrives at TracyLocke from Dallas' The Richards Group, where he served as director of interactive strategy and director of Richards Interactive. Prior to his stint at Richards, Copilevitz worked with local Brierley & Partners and WaveBase 9, an Internet strategy firm specializing in content- and database-driven sites.
In addition, Copilevitz previously worked at The Dallas Morning News, where he helped launch DallasNews.com, and was the lead technology writer covering the Internet boom. His weekly "Life Online" column was nationally syndicated.
