Gary Topolewski left Detroit for Los Angeles as a possible successor to creative chief Lee Clow at TBWA\Chiat\Day. That designation now rests with Chuck McBride, and Topolewski is returning to Motown.

Doner in Southfield, Mich., has tapped Topolewski as one of five executive creative directors. He will join the agency in late April or early May and report to chief creative officer John DeCerchio.
