EK3 Technologies, based in London, Ontario, developed the system, in which ads are digitally programmed to run on the screens, called Nbox displays, 24 hours a day.

“It’s a harsh environment for electronic equipment,” pointed out Ken Stuart, chief technology officer at EK3. While media and ad agencies have attempted such systems before, it took a technology company to come up with this “narrowcasting” system.
