Companies usually try to find spokespeople who appeal to their product’s target demographic and are convincing as a supporter of the brand. General Motors’ Buick division recently flipped that relationship when it designed a concept car specifically for its already-enlisted spokesman, Tiger Woods.

The sleek Buick Bengal concept car, unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this month, was designed completely with Woods in mind, said Buick representative John Wray. Instead of going to focus groups, the designers were simply given the task to think about “What would Tiger want in a car?” Wray said.

The sporty two-seat roadster can be turned into a four-seater, or can be quickly converted to make room for two custom-designed golf bags.
