Brian Tierney said he will open a public relations shop Jan. 1 in Philadelphia, tentatively named The T2 Group. In 1998, Tierney sold Tierney Communications, the ad agency he started in 1989, to True North Communications (subsequently purchased by IPG) and stayed through a four-year contract. He had been working as a consultant before leaving late last month.
