ATLANTA T.G. Madison has fired president Virgil Shutze, the agency confirmed.

Lauren Genkinger, co-owner and chief executive officer at the independent Atlanta shop, said Shutze had been hired to raise TGM’s creative bar and add new clients.

“He was brought in three years ago as chief creative officer and president with the responsibility of rebuilding the creative department, said Genkinger. “He did that.”

A year ago Shutze relinquished creative duties to executive creative director John Carter and was tasked with focussing on new business development.
