TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles has won the $30-50 million Siebel Systems account, taking the software company business from Ogilvy-owned Cole & Weber in Seattle, according to sources.

Sources said the decision was made on Thursday. There was no formal review. Sources said Siebel talked to TBWA\C\D roughly one year ago about their ad business and contacted the agency again recently about taking over the account.

"It's hard to pick a winner in today's market, but Siebel is definitely a winner. ... They've made a ton of money and their stock is holding well," one source said.

Siebel, based in San Mateo, Ca., sells Internet software, primarily to e-businesses. The company has sales and service offices in more than 28 countries.
