NEW YORK TBWA\Chiat\Day here has recruited Shane Ankeney from Doner to assume the new role of executive director of audience planning, TBWA\C\D said today.

Ankeney, 39, was chief media officer at Doner, an independent shop in Southfield, Mich. At Omnicom Group’s TBWA\C\D, he’ll work closely with Suzanne Powers, the office’s executive director of strategy and business development, and report to president Corey Mitchell.

“Audiences are in control of where and how they behave with media,” Mitchell said, in a statement.
