TBWA Chiat/Day, which handles Nissan Motor Corp. U.S.A.’s factory and dealer ads in the U.S., has picked up a separate Nissan account: Nissan Diesel America.
The Venice, Calif., agency won the Irving, Texas-based company’s estimated $1-2 million creative and media account last week, after a review involving about three undisclosed shops, said sources.
The account had been handled through the public relations unit of Temerlin McClain, also in Irving, which decided not to defend.
Monte Zator, a senior partner in Venice who manages TBWA C/D’s seven regional outposts, said the Dallas and Venice offices teamed up to win the business, which includes both consumer and business-to-business duties.
The Dallas office will handle the new account, with “support from Venice,” Zator said.
