If you’re going to Oregon’s Deschutes National Forest this summer, don’t expect to have your average camping trip. Campers persuaded by an advertising campaign from Bend, Ore.-shop Day Vengley & Associates may return home with sore muscles and a personal stake in preserving the forest. DVA created the campaign for The National Forest Green Team, which the U.S. Forest Service developed in response to soaring numbers of tourists and plummeting budgets. The program invites campers to donate several hours of their vacations to refinish picnic tables, plant trees, etc.
