NEW YORK The New York Times Company has selected Tacoda Systems to provide behavioral targeting services to its NYTimes.com, Boston.com and Regional Media Group Web sites.

The online properties will use Tacoda’s audience management service, which combines demographic data and user behavior to create audience segments that marketers can target. The New York-based company also works with iVillage and About, among other Web publishers.

Adding New York Times Company as a client is a coup for Tacoda, since its service will replace an in-house tool that was previously used by NYTimes.com
