NEW YORK Tacoda Systems has appointed Time Warner veteran Curtis G. Viebranz to the newly created post of president and chief operating officer.

He joins the New York-based company, which offers behavioral targeting services to clients like iVillage and USAToday.com, from Latin American media company OLE Communications, where he spent about five years as vice chairman.

Before that, Viebranz, 51, spent 17 years at Time Warner and one of its predecessor companies, Time Inc. At the New York-based media giant, he held numerous senior management positions, including president of HBO International, president of Time Inc.
