“There’s nothing more entertaining than Entertainment Weekly,” according to the Time Inc. publication’s first consumer ad campaign.

The effort, which broke recently from New York-based StreetSmart Advertising, includes TV and print. The 15- and 30-second spots are running on various networks and cable stations such as ESPN and MTV. The spots are also running on America Online and EW.com.

One commercial features two businessmen on a bus who don’t have much to say. After they stumble over the “what’s new” and “how are you” greetings, the spot closes with the tagline, “Give yourself something better to talk about.”

Print ads are appearing in other Time Inc.
