The Stride Rite Corp. in Lexington, Mass., is talking with agencies outside its roster, according to sources. A Stride Rite representative has begun contacting shops and asking for creative reels, sources said.
Company president Robert Siegel did not return calls by press time. His assistant said a review was not currently under way. It was unclear whether a search would include creative and media chores or a corporate branding assignment, a scenario suggested by a source close to Siegel.
Stride Rite spent about $5-6 million on ads last year, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
