Normally you’d have to visit a gallery or museum to view works by artists such as Vija Celmins, Franz Kline and Roy Lichtenstein.
But images from the artists’ colorful contemporary works can be seen all around Los Angeles as part of a new marketing campaign for the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Museum executives hired Los Angeles-based artist Pae White to help create the new marketing campaign, designed to boost awareness of MOCA.
Street banners (one is shown here) use White’s art style, with text, colors and the slogan, “Art is never just black & white.”
