NEW YORK Independent StrawberryFrog, which already has offices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and New York, today opens a 12-person outpost in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Alexandre Peralta will lead operations.

Shop founder and CCO Scott Goodson said StrawberryFrog launched in Brazil because the market is on the rise.

"Brazil as a market is going through changes. It's exploding, along with Russia, India and China. Everyone's rushing to China and Russia, so we thought we'd go in the opposite direction," he said.

Peralta, most recently a founding partner of Brazilian ad shop Africa and a copywriter by trade, has previously worked at agencies such as Talent, DM9 and W/Brasil. He has worked on brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Nivea, Samsung and Pepsi. A selection of his work can be seen here.

"I have always dreamed of opening my own agency, and when I met the team at StrawberryFrog last year, it just clicked for me. We see the world through the same eyes and together, with magnetic chemistry, we are laying the foundation for greatness," said Peralta. "StrawberryFrog is my kind of pirate ship."
