Texans Gain Hospital Co-op Business
Square One has outperformed other Dallas agencies in a review to win the $5-10 million creative account of VHA. The Irving, Texas-based organization is a $450 million cooperative representing approximately one-quarter of U.S. community-owned hospitals.

Good As Gold
Addys were presented by three ad clubs in the Southwest last week. In Little Rock, Ark., Stone & Ward was judged best in two competition categories. GSD&M and Witherspoon & Associates were the big winners in Austin and Fort Worth, Texas, respectively.

Rock The Boat
The Loomis Agency has been retained to relaunch Casino Magic. The Dallas shop was awarded the $5-10 million account without a review. Its mission is to bring back the high rollers to the Bossier City, La., riverboat, whose gaming revenue was off $21 million last year.

On The Last Lap
Four agencies made final presentations in the review for
Sewell Automotive's $5-10 million account last week. Launch Partnership in Irving, Texas, and Levenson & Hill, The Richards Group and Square One, all Dallas, are vying to represent 17 car dealerships.

Top 10 List
The Richards Group is one of the 10 semifinalists vying for the creative portion of Hyundai's $160 million account. Most of the Dallas agency's competition is on the West Coast.

Merkley's Duo
Andy Hirsch and Randy Saitta go way back. They've served as head creatives at New York shop Merkley Newman Harty & Partners for three years, partnered on Mercedes work for eight and have been colleagues since the mid-'80s. Now at Merkley's helm, they're facing their biggest challenge yet. Andrew McMains reports.
