LOS ANGELES — Bcom3’s Starcom, Chicago, won the $160 million-plus Bank of America media buying and planning business, a client representative confirmed.

The agency competed against Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Initiative Media North America; Omnicom’s PHD; and Publicis Groupe’s Zenith Media, all New York, in the finals. Initiative was the buying incumbent; its sister shop, Bozell, New York, was the media planning incumbent.
