ATLANTA Michael Ewing, a partner and chief creative officer at Fletcher Martin Ewing, has left the agency and been replaced by Tim Stapleton, the shop's creative director for the past two years, the agency said.

Ewing left "to pursue other personal goals," the agency said. He no longer has any ownership in the MDC Partners shop.

Stapleton has been named a partner in the Atlanta shop and shares ownership with Andy Fletcher, the agency's chief executive.

There are no immediate plans to change the name of the agency, Fletcher said.

Stapleton was a senior writer at The Richards Group in Dallas for four years before joining FME. He was a principal, associate creative director and senior writer for Publicis/Bloom in Dallas for seven years before moving to Richards. He also was an art director at Backer Spielvogel Bates in New York for three years.

Stapleton said he plans to add members to the agency's creative department, including someone to replace him as creative director.
