BOSTON Staples today said it has selected McCann Erickson for its broadcast creative account following a review.
New York-based McCann, an Interpublic Group shop, outpaced finalists Arnold in Boston, a unit of Havas, and J. Walter Thompson in New York, which is owned by WPP Group. Publicis Groupe's Fallon in New York also reached the final round but withdrew from the process before presentations were made at the client's headquarters last week.
The client in Framingham, Mass., spends $60 million annually on broadcast ads.
Staples in April parted with Omnicom Group's Martin/Williams in Minneapolis.
