BOSTON Staples today said it named four finalists in the review for the broadcast creative portion of its $60 million ad account.
They are: Havas' Arnold; Publicis Groupe's Fallon; WPP's J. Walter Thompson; and Interpublic's McCann Erickson, the client said. Arnold is in Boston; the others are based in New York. McCann had not been previously identified as a contender.
Not advancing were Publicis, Omnicom's TBWA\Chiat\Day and WPP's Young & Rubicam, all in New York.
The client will meet with the finalists in July, with a decision expected before month's end.
The Framingham, Mass.-based office supply retailer split with incumbent Martin/Williams in Minneapolis, an Omnicom shop, in April.
Select Resources International in Santa Monica, Calif., is overseeing the review process.
