Berkshire Marketing Group, a communications agency based in Troy, N.Y., this summer will lease larger space in Boston and up its local contingent from one to six staffers, said vice president Michael Kokernak.
Driving the expansion in large part is a deal BMG negotiated for Rarities-Exchange, a Knoxville, Tenn.-based producer of upscale home-shopping programs. A three-hour block of Rarities-Exchange shows will soon start airing nightly on the Ovation cable television network, which is carried locally by RCN.
BMG is charged with creating on-air promotional pieces for the shows, as well as collateral and design executions.
