LOS ANGELES-BBDO West here is in final contract negotiations to pick up ad duties for Internet postage service provider Stamps.
com, sources said. Billings are estimated at $16 million.
The Santa Monica, Calif.-based startup selected BBDO, which pitched with direct response agency Direct Partners, also Santa Monica, after talking informally with eight midsized-to-large undisclosed Los Angeles-area shops, sources said. The pair won without pitching directly against other shops, sources said. There was no incumbent.
Agency executives referred calls to the client.
