NEW YORK — Sony Corp.’s Sony Music Entertainment unit and Vivendi Universal’s Universal Music Group named their subscription music-service Pressplay and announced its management team.
The companies named Andy Schuon president and chief executive of Pressplay, which used the working title Duet. Mr. Schuon was previously president and chief operating officer of Universal Music Group’s online music site Jimmy and Doug’s Farmclub.com.
The companies named Michael Bebel chief operating officer of Pressplay. Mr. Bebel was previously executive vice president, business development and strategic planning for Universal Music’s ELabs unit.
