Takes a Taste of Chili Pepper
BOSTON–Digital content merchandiser SoftLock.com has added advertising consulting capabilities through its $1.75 million acquisition of Chili Pepper.
The firms had worked together since January on assignments for various clients, including a project to publish Stephen King’s story Riding the Bullet in cyberspace.
“We were finding that the one piece of the value proposition that we could not deliver was advertising and merchandising skills,” said SoftLock.com CEO Scott Griffith, adding that the Chili Pepper acquisition would allow the firm to put digital goods in context.
