ATLANTA Socketware, an e-mail marketing company based here, has changed its name to Accucast and introduced a new tagline and logo, the independent shop said.
Accucast is the platform the company has used for e-mail marketing since 1998, a year after its inception. Last year, the firm added a strategic services division to help clients develop and execute e-mail campaigns.
"The e-mail marketing environment is evolving beyond pure technology solutions," said Michael Pridemore, the company's CEO. "While it is important to stay true to our roots by continuing to develop and offer a powerful e-mail marketing tool, a company name and logo that focuses on our combined product and service solutions will solidify our direction in the market."
The new logo is green, orange and blue and depicts the globe with an envelope traveling around it. It contains the firm's new tagline, "Powerful messaging. Proven results."
Accucast also has added three senior-level executives. Mitzie Upshaw, former vice president of IT at Primerica, has joined the company as chief operations officer. Spencer Kollas, director of deliverability services, had managed ISP relationships for Nascar.com. Lesley Cortright has arrived as strategic services account executive. She previously managed budgets and created marketing strategies for The Macauley Companies and is a former account manager for DoubleClick.
