BOSTON Via said it has added Guardian Industries for branding chores following a review.
The Portland, Maine-based agency will handle advertising, public relations, interactive marketing and media planning chores for the client, which is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich. Guardian is a global supplier of building materials such as glass and fiberglass insulation. The budget was not disclosed, nor were other review contenders.
"We could see that they have an in-depth, strategic understanding of our business, our customers and our marketing needs. We like the way they think," said Earnest Thompson, client director of marketing and brand management.
Agency CEO John Coleman said the win is important because it allows the agency to work with a category leader whose business is global in scope.
Via, which ranks among New England's largest independent shops, has enjoyed a winning streak in recent months. Prior to Guardian, it added LoJack in July and Maidenform in June. Other key clients include Analog Devices, Dunkin' Donuts, HP Hood and TD Banknorth. The agency also has offices in Boston and New York.
