NEW YORK Publicis Groupe's Fallon Worldwide said it has named Paul Silburn, deputy creative director of Omnicom's TBWA in London, executive creative director for Fallon's operations in North America.

Silburn, 44, will assume a post vacant since David Lubars in September joined Omnicom's BBDO Worldwide as chairman and chief creative officer for North America.

Best known for his award-winning work on TBWA's "No Nonsense" campaign for John Smith's beer and Leo Burnett's "Bear" spot for John West salmon, Silburn will be responsible for setting creative direction for Fallon's Minneapolis headquarters and New York office. Beginning in January, Silburn will report to Fallon Worldwide chairman Pat Fallon.

Silburn, a copywriter by trade, has been with TBWA for more than four years. In addition to Leo Burnett, the London native has also worked for Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Lowe Howard-Spink and Leith London.
