Markets suffered serious blows last week on news of weaker-than-expected employment figures and sky-high oil prices. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 3.2 percent to end the week at 9,814. The Nasdaq finished down 5.2 percent at 1,777. A report from the U.S. Labor Department put significant downward pressure on markets. Analysts had hoped for more than 200,000 new jobs in July, but the economy produced only 32,000. Ad stocks were hard hit, as well.
