Ikea said it will shift creative work on its U.S. account to roster shop Secret Weapon in Santa Monica, Calif., an independent. Most of the work had been done by MDC’s Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami, which last week said it resigned the Swedish furniture retailer’s estimated $40 million business. “We do not share the same vision for Ikea’s business,” said CP+B in a statement. Since January, Ikea has hired independent Anita Santiago Advertising in Santa Monica to handle Hispanic ads and Secret Weapon for West Coast markets.
