Rich Simms has been named executive vice president and director of Southeast operations for Western International Media in Atlanta.
In his new post, Simms will oversee Western's two Atlanta offices, as well as units in Memphis, Tenn.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Miami. He was formerly president of Western subsidiary Media Partnership Corp. in Norwalk, Conn.
This is not Simms' first tour of duty in the South. He was formerly founder and president of The Media Investment Group, a subsidiary of Fitzgerald & Co. in Atlanta. He was recruited by Fitzgerald from the Houston office of Ogilvy & Mather.
Included on the client list of Western's Atlanta operations are Home Depot and BellSouth Corp. --Jim Osterman
