NEW YORK Canadian Web surfers are more likely to use a search engine and with greater frequency than the average U.S. user, according to a comScore Networks study released this week. Still, the online advertising market in Canada remains less developed than the U.S.

About 85 percent of Canadian Web surfers conduct at least one search via the top search engines each month, compared to 73 percent of the U.S. Internet population, the research found.
