BOSTON Independent Schwartz Communica-
tions said it has added assignments in recent weeks in the IT security, business software and biotechnology fields.
The new clients for the shop are: InterMute in Braintree, Mass., which develops Internet security products; Network Intelligence in Westwood, Mass., which provides data-consolidation services; Shawmut Design and Construction in Boston; and three New York-based clients: business software firm eMeta; Translations.com, a provider of language solutions for business; and Viewpoint Corp., which produces online graphics applications.
The companies selected Waltham, Mass.-based Schwartz for media relations, analyst relations, branding and speaking programs. Budgets were not disclosed but combined fees for the accounts are likely in the $500,000-1 million range.
