Porter Novelli has appointed Bill Schreiber senior vice president and general manager of its Sacramento, Calif., office, which was previously known as NCG Porter Novelli. Schreiber, 55, had been svp and acting general manager. He replaces Steve Swatt, who remains on the staff of the 25-person public relations firm as a senior counsel. Schreiber will continue to oversee the firm's daily operations as well as provide senior counsel for clients including Chevron Texaco, DeVry University, United Anglers of Southern California and the California Department of Social Services. Schreiber said he plans to maintain the growth and success the firm has seen in public affairs since the former NCG office was acquired by Porter Novelli three years ago.
