NEW YORK–After being courted by numerous media shops, veteran national broadcast buyer Rino Scanzoni is in talks with WPP’s The Media Edge about taking on the broadcast division president post, sources said.

If a deal is struck with the New York shop, Scanzoni will take over for an equally well-known veteran, Bob Igiel, who announced his retirement in June. Igiel, who will remain a consultant at TME, is one of the N.W. Ayer executives who formed TME in 1994.
