BOSTON Colangelo said it has been hired by Sartori Foods to handle the client's first integrated consumer brand-marketing effort for its specialty cheeses.
A new campaign bows next month in Chicago, New York, Minneapolis and San Francisco. The initial focus will be Internet ads plus in-store efforts and special promotional events. As part of the push, consumers will be enlisted as word-of-mouth advocates for the brand. The budget was not disclosed.
"Our goal is to establish the Sartori brand at the forefront of specialty cheeses," said Susan Cocco, executive marketing director at Colangelo.
Becky Ryan, the client's managing director, retail, added, "The agency's impressive portfolio of through-the-line campaign experience makes us confident that our activities will earn Sartori recognition as the 'brand of choice' among consumers."
The agency, a unit of Omnicom Group, is located in Darien, Conn. Sartori is based in Plymouth, Wis.
