Disagreement Over Creativity Sparks Breakup
ATLANTA–TBWA\Chiat\Day has split with Sara Lee intimate apparel subsidiary Bali and its products Wonderbra and Barely There.
Sources said the agency and the client locked horns recently over the direction of creative and mutually agreed to part ways.
“We had fundamental differences over the role and importance of creativity in advertising,” confirmed Carl Johnson, president and chief executive officer of TBWA\C\D, New York.
Sources said Sara Lee recently began putting out feelers to other nonroster agencies as it gears up to review the account.
