DALLAS Saunders-Ream Advertising & Marketing took home top honors from the Tourism Association of New Mexico on behalf of its work for the Santa Fe Convention and Visitors Bureau, the shop said.

For the second consecutive year, the Dallas-based agency has won the association's Tiara Award, which recognizes the state's top creative campaign in travel marketing and promotion.

Saunders-Ream was recognized for its "Away. To Santa Fe" print ad, which celebrates the city's visual and cultural appeal, the shop said. Last year, the agency won the Tiara for a Santa Fe direct mail campaign.

"Over the past year, we've seen a significant increase in the number of visitors to Santa Fe, which is our number one priority," said John Arend, Saunders-Ream senior vice president and SFCVB account supervisor. "By this measurement alone, we can say our efforts have been successful."

Separately, the shop has appointed Kim Dinsmoor account supervisor. In his new post, Dinsmoor will report to Arend and manage the agency's hospitality accounts including SFCVB and the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Dinsmoor previously served as vice president of New Orleans Hospitality Companies, where he was responsible for the management of several premier New Orleans hotel properties such as the Royal St. Charles, Queen and Crescent, and the Garden District Hotels.

"Having worked in the industry for nearly 24 years, Kim understands the economic fluctuations unique to travel and tourism," Arend said. "He will provide current and future clients with a depth of operational experience that goes well beyond what most advertising agencies can offer."
