Hasan Ramusevic of Hasan + Co. in Raleigh, N.C., who conducted both the creative and media reviews for the estimated $10-15 million account, confirmed the assignment.
The Atlanta shop bested cross-town media service Carat with its market-by-market strategy rather than one national plan.
It has not been decided which of the client's 20 regional media agencies' accounts will be immediately transferred to Fitzgerald. Some long-standing relationships are expected to be retained.
The Kaplan Thaler Group of New York won the account's creative chores earlier this year.
Blimpie is headquartered in Atlanta.
