If the One Show pencil is one of the most sought after awards in advertising, a fledgling creative show is making light of the fact that its prizes may not share that luster.
The Magazine Advertising Repre-sentatives of the South (MARS) has issued a call for entries for the second installment of its Sammy Awards. Sammy is shorthand for Southeast Award for Magazine Excellence.
This year’s invitation to participate was created by Austin Kelley Advertising of Atlanta.
It simply shows the Sammy Award above a headline that states: “After eight drinks, it sorta looks like a pencil.”
The prerequisites for entering the Sammy competition are the same as last year.
