Gone from the door of Lowe Lintas & Partners are the initials “SMS” that remained part of its name until last year, when Lowe & Partners merged with Ammirati Puris Lintas. But the first “S” doesn’t mind. In fact, Sam Scali is enjoying his retirement, splitting time among homes in Cap-Ferrat, France, Queens and Fire Island, N.Y. At 66, Scali keeps in touch with “M” (Ed McCabe) but not the other “S,” Marvin Sloves.
