NEW YORK Saatchi & Saatchi, continuing to re-staff its estimated $550 million General Mills account in the wake of last month’s walkout of 17 creative and account executives, on Tuesday hired Young & Rubicam’s Ann Hayden as creative director worldwide on the business.

Hayden, 51, who was a managing partner and executive creative director at Y&R, becomes the senior-most creative on General Mills under New York chief creative officer Tony Granger.

The hire comes four days after Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi tapped Joe Belmonte, a consultant and former group account director at DDB and managing partner at Amster Yard, as senior group account director on the business.
