NEW YORK--FCB CEO Brendan Ryan and DDB president and CEO Ken Kaess have been nominated by the advisory council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies to serve as chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the association for 2001-2002.

Typically, the vice chairman succeeds chairman, however, John Dooner, the incumbent vice chairman, did not stand for the position due to his new responsibilities as chairman and CEO of the Interpublic Group of Cos.

Ryan and Kaes have been directors-at-large since 1998.

Nominations for officers and directors are scheduled for a vote by members at the 4As' annual business meeting in April.
