A Rose By Any Other Name

If the receptionist at D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles seems a little frazzled these days, it is probably with just cause.
Two employees have recently been teamed in the creative department at the shop's Los Angeles office. But here is the catch: Both guys have names that are almost exactly alike--Jeff Weekley and Jeff Weakley.
"I get calls from people and I have no idea who they are, but they think they know me," said Weekley (shown below, on right), an art director who has been with the agency for 17 years.
In one instance, Weekley received a congratulatory call from a person for winning a Belding award. Weakley, a copywriter who has been with the shop for 17 months, took the call and the credit.
The two tried to trace their genealogies to see if they are related. But they are not: Weakley's kin hail from Ohio, while Weekley's are from Tennessee.
"We found we share a white-trash background," Weekley said. Ah, the thrill of discovery.
