The Romann Group has been named first agency for ClassifiedWarehouse.com, which posts ads from hundreds of newspapers nationwide on its Web site.
The New York agency won the $20 million business after a review involving other undisclosed shops. Before the win, Romann Group created newspaper ads on a project basis for the New York client, whose previous efforts were created in-house.
A campaign consisting of TV, print and outdoor ads is expected early next year. The shop is now in pre-production on some TV concepts, following focus-group tests.
Agency creative director Gad Romann said of the brand, “It’s a total sum of the strength of all the newspapers that have immense equity to begin with.”
