Riffage.com, a former online music site that, among other things, purchased San Francisco’s historic Great American Music Hall, has closed down its operations. LoudENERGY.com, a site where music is sold to record producers and consumers, has acquired Riffage’s assets, which include more than a million registered users, 30,000 songs and 20,000 bands.

The Great American Music Hall and an independent music label,1500 Records, are not included in the loudENERGY deal. In its heyday, Riffage.com was a top 10 music site according to Media Metrix measurements, published by Billboard magazine.
